About “IS de Pueblo”

Diana's personal website collecting a record of professional work and updates. 'IS de pueblo' is a play on words. In Spanish, IS was meant to work as the acronym of Investigacion Social (Social Research), and "de pueblo" is an expression that means "rural" (literally, it means "of a village"). Altogether, 'is de pueblo' combines English and Spanish to refer to the bilingual character of my thinking, work, and life -in English and Spanish- while clearly describing my research's focus: rural society.
